Ba, Ba, Ba, Di, Da, Da, Da, Da, Da

i really like this ruffled bedset [urbanoutfitters] , its very chic and "saucy" [haha "saucy"] but yeah very sophisticated and all...

cooler than me.

this piece, "Love Unites", by Shephard Fairey is one of my favorites. Shephard Fairey is an artist [or graphic artist, whatever floats your boat] who's known for doing political art and stenciling. FUN FACT: he's also DJs by the name DJ Diabetic and Emcee Insulin! His famous print "Obey Giant" has been made into short documentary film ["Andre the Giant has a Posse"] and into a clothing line. His latest famous piece the Obama "HOPE" poster has been on the cover of Times Magazine and put into the US National Portrait Gallery.

The Red Balloon [1956]

i really wanna see this film. it's a fantasy short film directed by french filmmaker Albert Lamorisse. it's about a young boy who finds this red helium balloon that has a mind of it's own and together they have misadventures around Paris, at home and school. And the little boy, Pascal meets a young girl with a blue balloon also. Pascal encounters a group of bullies who jealously bust the boy's beloved red balloon. It ends with other balloons of Paris come to his aid and take him on a cluster balloon ride.
this film sounds adorable and sweet. [:

Florence, Italy, Europe
florence, italy is one the most influential places of ART (architecture, fashion, religion, science, etc)! it was proclaimed as being "the art capitol of italy". In the Renaissance era artists from all over flocked to Florence to just getta whiff of the creative air and to be found, recognized, inspired, loved, and successful! And the great art matrons, The Medici, family lived there.
I really wanna go to the, Uffizi Art Mueseum (one of the most famous and important art galleries in the world) which contains art from Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Donatello, etc.
and of course not only for the art.. there's famous palaces, parks, piazzas, theatres, etc.... it's lika lifetimes worth of sightseeing!

Purple Rain

i like this photo of this couple caught in a downpour in newyorkcity.

excerpt from my book.

“Don’t you love me,” Donna whimpered in Batman’s ear; unsuccessfully I could here her from where I sat, between Mutt and John. “Now you know I’m no lover-boy,” he said in an almost disgusted tone. I elusively looked back and Batman carefully took the lollipop out of her mouth and put it in his. She clutched at his jacket. She looked old, well, grown; like she’s done thing she’s should’ve and seen things she should’ve. But in her eyes she just looked like an insecure little girl just wanting a little love, needing a little love, no matter what she had to do to get it. She sat as the wind blew wildy through her dark brown curls. She looked far off in defeat and despairs, as Batman sat casually with Black shades on, enjoying her lollipop. Why are guys such jerks?
She whimpered again. He pulled her chin down to his face, sighed, and coaxingly said, “Now I’m not sure about love, but I sure am lonely.” Donna smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

La Di Da Di

it's finally the weekend! i love the weekend! my favorite part is Saturday mornings.. we [me and my mum] just sit and drink some french vanilla coffee, and eat some apple turnovers [after we grocery shop, and we run arens and what not... this poem seems like something you would read on a saturday morning... i dont know.. maybe im just to weird.

Dreams
by Langston Hughes
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

i like this poem. feels like the kinda poem you write on like a bookbag or a tshirt or baseball glove or something, so when you look down and see it, you'll look back up and feel better and inspired.

The Outsiders

"I wanted to cry, but Greasers don't cry in front of strangers. Some of us never cry at all. Like Dally and Two-Bit and Tim Shepard--they forgot how at an early age."
"You get tough like me and you don't get hurt. You look out for yourself and nothin' can touch you..."
"He wasn't going to be any hood when he got old. He was going to get somewhere. Living the way we do would only make him more determined to get somewhere."
"So Cherry Valance, the cheerleader, Bob's girl, the Soc, was trying to help us. No, it wasn't Cherry the Soc who was helping us, it was Cherry the dreamer who watched sunsets and couldn't stand fights."

Author: S.E. Hinton [1967]

Uh Oh, I want some more. Uh Oh, what are you waiting for?! Take a bite of my heart tonight...

A '54 British Triumph T-110 or the Triumph Tiger 110.
James Dean had one ;)
the tiger 110 was the fastest cycle to date for the "American Market" that wanted a higher power output. the tiger-110 was capable of 100mph. it was a real bad cycle in it's hay day.

SONG QUOTE:
I can’t believe what you said to me
Last night when we were alone
You threw your hands up
Baby you gave up, you gave up
I can’t believe how you looked at me
With your James Dean glossy eyes
In your tight jeans with your long hair
And your cigarette stained lies....
....I can’t believe how you slurred at me
With your half wired broken jaw
You popped my heart seams
On my bubble dreams, bubble dreams
I can’t believe how you looked at me
With your Johnnie Walker eyes
He’s gonna get you and after he’s through
There’s gonna be no love left to rye
Speechless- Lady Gaga

Right Forward #9

West Side Story [1961]

Tony: I- I didn't believe hard enough.
Maria: Loving is enough.
Tony: Not here. They won't let us be.
Maria: Then we'll run away.
Tony: Yeah, we can.
Maria: Yes.
Tony: We will...
Maria: [singing] Hold my hand and we are halfway there, hold my hand and I'll take you there. Somehow! Someday! Some...

Tony- Richard Beymer
Maria- Natalie Wood

We were watching this in English because we're about to read Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story is an adaption of it. It was nice. I liked it because it was based in the '50's with rumbles and New York street gangs and whatnot...
